Scabies Project Update

Over the past 3 and a half months, we've treated around 1,200 patients for scabies infections in our Lesvos skin infections clinic. As well as providing medical treatment, patients are given a new set of clothes, bedding and clothing sanitation and access to showers in co-operation with our partner NGOs. We're pleased to say that we've had positive results, although some patients require an extended course of treatment to fully recover. A significant challenge is the high risk of re-infection due to limited sanitation facilities in the camp.

With increased washing facilities, we aim to double the number of patients we treat within the next couple of weeks from around 20 to 40 patients per day.
